KAIVOGEN

  STREPTAVIDIN COATED PLATES  for the well-being of your assay

  Streptavidin coated plates are suitable for a wide range of applications, like immuno or nucleic acid hybridization assays.

  The plates are available in several different 96-well formats: 12 & 8 well strips, solid plates or breakable strips enabling use of different instrumentation

  and assay configurations. Also other plate formats are available on request.

  All the plates have high affinity towards biotin and are stable over a wide range of pH, detergent concentration and ionic strength.

  The available plate families differ regarding binding capacity, background, streptavidin leaching and cost.

  For assays suffering from streptavidin leaching we recommend the UniverSA96 plates and for ELISA- type measurements the KaiSA96 plates.

  Anti-mouse coated plates are coated with polyclonal rabbit anti-mouse IgG antibodies.

  Currently the plates are available in 12-strip format, but other plate formats are available on request.

 

  Applications  for Streptavidin Coated Microplates                       

 Streptavidin is a tetrameric protein of approximately 60 kDa in size.

 The streptavidin-biotin interaction is one of the strongest non-covalent bonds in nature.  Streptavidin-coated surfaces serve as a universal binder for immobilization of any

 biotinylated molecule.

 Typically streptavidin plates are used for immobilization of capture antibodies, antigens or

 even small-size biotinylated molecules, which are hard to immobilize directly.

 Unlike proteins directly bound by passive adsorption, biotinylated proteins can be immobilized

 to streptavidin-coated surfaces with a lower risk of denaturation.

 Streptavidin coated plates are widely used in for example competitive immunoassays,  reagents

 excess non-competitive immunoassays and oligonucleotide quantitation.

  Low protein leaching

 KaiSA96LOW                              

 Features:

  Cross-linked streptavidin surface

  •High binding capacity

  •Low fluorescence background

  •High uniformity due to the optimized coating process

  •Storage at RT or + 4 C

  •Recommended for fluorescence-based assays

 

Specifications:

  Streptavidin coating volume: 200 µl / well

  Biotin binding capacity: > 14 pmol / well

  Plate homogeneity: ~ 3 CV%

  Stability: 2 years at RT or + 4 C° 

 

 

 

 Plate formats available:

  Special yellow polystyrene 12-well strips.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 UniverSA96                                

  Features:

  Streptavidin bound covalently onto the surface

  •Lower protein leaching compared to KaiSA96 plates

  •High binding capacity

  •Low background

  •High uniformity due to the optimized coating process

  •Storage at + 4 C°

  •Recommended for ultra-sensitive and/or competitive

    assays

 

Specifications:

  Streptavidin coating volume: 200 µl / well

  Biotin binding capacity: > 14 pmol / well

  Plate homogeneity: ~ 3 CV%

  Real-time stability tests on-going

 Anti-mouse                              

Features:

  Polyclonal rabbit anti-mouse immunoglobulin

    coated surface

  Passively coated

  •Saturated for low non-specific binding

  •High uniformity

  •Recommended applications include bioaffinity

    assays and screening of mouse antibody producing

    cell lines

 

Specifications:

  Antibody coating volume: 200 µl / well

  •Coated with 1 µg of antibody
