  ViveST  Dried Biological specimen transport device

    Our Sample Transportation and Storage System, ViveST®, is the first in a series of revolutionary,

          dried biological sample transport  systems that can dramatically alter the way samples are

          transported and stored.

 

    ViveST® is the only system that provides a dried sample matrix, ambient transport and storage,

          built in indicator for moisture and up to 1.5mL sample volume in a single device.

 

   Ambient Temperature Shipping—Drastically reduces shipping and logistics costs.

          Eliminates the requirement to cool specimens on dry ice as well as the specialized shipping

          containers that are needed.

 

  Technology                        

 - Sample can be loaded by simple pipetting and allowed to dry.

 - During the drying process, water in  the biological sample is evaporated but biological

   analytes including proteins, virions and nucleic acids remain in the matrix.

 - The samples can then be shipped in the dried state.  While in the dried state, the samples

   do not require refrigeration and can therefore be kept under ambient conditions.

 - The matrix is housed on the screw-cap of a microcentrifuge tube such that the sample is

   self- contained during storage and shipping.

 - When the sample is needed for testing, it can be reconstituted by incubating the dried

   matrix with molecular grade water.

 - The sample is recovered by mechanical force using a standard sterile syringe.

 - Once reconstituted, the sample is ready for downstream testing

  Features: Contains 24 ViveST tubes

  ViveST® is the first of a new class of ambient temperature,

  dried biological sample transport systems.

  Capable of carrying whole blood, plasma, nucleic acid

  (DNA & RNA) viral/bacterial cultures and urine, it is

  revolutionizing the way sample transport and logistics

  systems are managed.

  End users recognize an immediate cost savings as a result

  of the reduction in the use of dry ice and the associated

  shipping materials and licensing that is required.

  In addition, without the requirement of dry ice shipments,

  health care can be extended to resource limited settings.

  The ViveST system is capable of:

  Ambient Temperature Shipping – Drastically reduces

     shipping and logistics costs.

  Eliminates the requirement to cool specimens on dry

     ice as well as the specialized shipping containers

     that are needed.

  Ambient Temperature Storage – The biological sample

     is stabilized on the proprietary matrix and can be

     stored at room temperature, no need for cold storage.

  SIMPLE WORKFLOW

    - The device consists of a proprietary co-polymer matrix with specially-designed hydrophobic surface coatings. 

    - Once a liquid sample is loaded onto the matrix and it is properly dried it is then stabilized for ambient transport and storage. 

    - Recovery from the matrix consists of simply putting the dried sample back into suspension in the appropriate buffer with very little

      mechanical manipulation

Pipette up to 1.5mL of liquid

sample onto matrix

Air dry the loaded matrix

Screw the cap onto the ViveST

so that the matrix is contained

within the tube. Store at RT.

Rehydrate the matrix with

molecular grade water to

recover biological sample.

Continue with testing or

store samples using

standard storage conditions.
